Chandler Acid Wash Price Estimator
Tell the tool what shape your water is in, about how big the pool is, and whether anybody has acid washed it already, and you get the range we would most likely quote over the phone. The math runs off our own pricing page, there is no email box to fill in, and sometimes the honest output is that you can skip the job entirely.
A couple of points before you start clicking.
Most of the base number is the empty and refill, not the acid. The chemical itself costs very little. You are really paying for our crew’s hours, doing each step in the right order, and filling back up quickly, since a bare shell sitting under the Chandler sun is a risk, not a fresh start. Our drained and now cracked page walks through what can go wrong.
Your pool only gets so many washes. Each strip takes a sliver of plaster with it, and most surfaces handle roughly five over their lifetime before there is not enough left to keep going. Around Chandler this comes up a lot, because so many backyard pools have been through two or three owners, and nobody wrote down how often the plaster was washed. Not sure about yours? Pick the honest answer, and we will judge the surface with our own eyes instead of guessing at its past. If it feels rough and chalky, replastering is the real fix.
After you have a number, browse our problem pages to check whether the condition you chose really needs a wash in the first place.
Roughly how much will our crew charge for your pool?
Answer four quick prompts. We tied every figure to our rate sheet, so you see about what we would tell you over the phone before we ever walk your yard.
Every acid strip shaves off some plaster, which means your pool only gets so many of them. Told us three or more? Then we want to see the surface before we price a wash, and if it is turning powdery, we will talk to you about resurfacing instead.
Carry these numbers over to our quote requestTreat this as a ballpark. We firm it up once we have seen your plaster in person, and that figure is the one we stand behind.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are these figures based on?
Our posted rates: $300 to $800 for a standard acid wash, $700 to $1,200 or more for a large or luxury pool, $250 to $600 to rescue a green pool, $200 to $450 to drain and clean without acid, and $200 to $500 for calcium and scale removal. The estimator begins with the empty, rinse and refill, then layers on whatever range fits the shape your pool is in.
Can I trust the range?
It is solid enough to plan a budget around. Most of what we charge comes down to how big the pool is and how rough it looks, and you can answer both yourself. The piece it is blind to is the actual plaster, and that alone can flip what we recommend.
Will you make me hand over my email first?
Never. The tool is wide open. Your range shifts each time you pick a different answer, and passing it to our quote request is up to you.
Why would the estimator steer me away from an acid wash?
Plenty of pools simply do not need one. If you can still see the floor through green water, chemicals generally bring it back. A white crust at the waterline is a descaling job, not a strip. And powdery, worn plaster calls for resurfacing, since acid would only speed up the damage. We would rather not burn one of your pool's limited washes on work that will not help.
